What I do:
I design and deliver Team Leader and Management Development programmes - with the option of accreditation via the Chartered Management Institute. The accredited programmes all involve a bottom-line impacting project that brings back multiples of programme costs.
More recently I have spent a lot of time coaching one to one, and I do NOT use the phone for this - two very wortwhile hours of intensive development often requires a seven hour round trip. For me phone coaching is phoney coaching!
I also spend a lot of time working with Mentors, and use the Mentoring in the Workplace Certificate as a structure to develop, recognise and reward.
In addition, a lot of my time is spent researching, preparing and retailing learning material. I know the time it takes to find and prepare hight quality material that isn't just what people have seen over and over again.
