Graham is an accredited consultant and mentor with IDeA, Audit Commission, South East Employers, and SOLACE helping local authorities to improve performance, cut costs, and build sustainable capacity.


20+ years sales and marketing experience in ‘big ticket’ IT services, software and hardware. Successful in all aspects  of both new business and account management roles within SME’s, Corporates, and latterly in strategic alliance selling before building up my own coaching practice. Former Local Councillor (Mayor of Beaconsfield). Previously built up and sold my own plc (The Status Group plc).

1994 - 2004             Strategic Business Alliance Manager    IBM UK Ltd

IT consultancy, services, software, and hardware


  • Led EMEA (Europe, Middle East/Africa)  sales team
  • 2003. Developed joint programs with Sun and HP (IBM competitors!!!) to sell preloaded IBM software with complementary hardware upgrades.
  • 2001. Developed Vendor Finance Program (off-balance sheet financing) with IBM’s strategic partners and grew revenues 40% from $250M to $350M over two years. Special award for single biggest financing deal of $43M.
  • 1999. Won $35M deal with Abbey National for ‘Cahoot’ Internet bank solution resulting from worldwide alliance with Fiserv. 175% of quota.
  • 1996. (IBM acquired Data Sciences Ltd). Strategic alliances and ‘big ticket’ sales with Oracle, Lotus, Microsoft, Informix, NeXT, DHL, BBFC, and Halifax.
  • 1994. Headhunted by Data Sciences Ltd to spearhead new specialist software application management and outsourcing team.



1991 - 1994             Business Development Manager    Axis Resources Ltd. (formerly RHM   Computing) - IBM FM and Outsourcing


  • Repositioned Axis Resources as a specialist IBM FM provider with two groundbreaking deals with IMI/Automotive Products, and Hilton Hotels. 
  • Rebalanced group/external revenues and substantially increased profit margins.
  • 1993 Sales Management Award- 350% of quota.



1987 – 1991            Director/Owner   The Status Group plc.   –Distributor/Dealer of computer consumables, supplies and accessories


Founded Status Computer Products Ltd developed both an end user customer base and substantial trade sales to build up business volumes. In 1988, set up a separate distributorship-Wholesale Computer Products Ltd but later amalgamated the business streams into The Status Group plc and broadened the range of products and services and to increase revenue/profits. Sold as a very profitable business in 1991 and then sought fresh challenges.


Prior to 1986


1984-86 – National Accounts Manager, Control Data Corporation

I won many performance awards as the manager of a regional field sales team of 10 salespeople and a national telesales team of 8 salespeople. I was also very successful in personally growing revenue in very large national accounts.

1970-1984- Successful international career in Purchasing /Logistics in the Construction and Petro-Chemical sectors e.g. oil refineries, desalination plants, housing, main drainage, and the Suez Tunnel. I worked in the UK, Middle East, and Holland for such companies as Taylor Woodrow, Tarmac, Kellogg, Bechtel, and Aramco (see below 1978-81).

1978-81 - Supervising a multi-national team of 26, I set up the Aramco Jeddah office in Saudi Arabia to advise and help foreign companies to set up manufacturing bases, joint ventures, and trading companies with Saudi owned enterprises in the kingdom.  

1970-1978 - Various management positions in the construction industry.
