What a good meeting we held on Monday. Many thanks to Sue Cohen for opening up and interesting and challenging debate.

Sue also kindly wrote up a summary which I am reproducing here.
"Nutshell guide to elearning"
technical topics and processes, particularly IT-based processes, can work really well in elearning
it is not a cheap / quick option to face-to-face learning
can be a great way to get consistent message to many people / locations within short timespan
not just a matter of graphics / web designers / IT specialists - needs specialist training skills
very small bite-size chunks and easy to get the "chunk" you need when you need it
often pushing the boundaries of organisation's IT capabilities - unlikely to want to lead IT innovation "just to do training"
needs to take account of all learning styles (whichever model you use to define what those are), DDA and incorporate accelerated / brain friendly learning
blended learning is more than just "e"
usually much bigger projects than many L&D departments envisage - and need to be managed as such
once in place, needs to be managed, maintained and marketed

Our next meeting is 16 November. If you are within driving distance and free please come and join us.

Best regards
