Message 1 of 1: Ed Trayner on 10/11/2011
Hi all

How many of you have multiple business personas. I don't mean that you have any mental issues rather you have more than one business and keep them separate.

As some of you know I do; I am Ed Trayner, the editor (founder) of TrainerBase but I am also a photographer and artist.

I keep these (and others for that matter) trading names separate and have membership of a number of groups, forums, digests specific to those businesses.

Today I discovered I had made a boo boo by being on one general networking site with more than a single profile, one of which was under a pseudonym. It appears that a natural person can only have one profile and a real name.

I wonder whether the numerous pop stars, actors and other celebs have ventured onto this site and whether they are using the real name or thier false name??

It is an interesting state of affairs and on reflection does this strengthen the case for sector specific groups/portals within social media (like TrainerBase:)).

If anyone has had any encounters with this sort of thing, I'd be interested to hear.

TTFN from
Peter, Ed, Ellen, Patrick, Jag :) Sad person!
