Certificate in First Line Management

The Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management aims to give practising or potential Managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The programme has two primary objectives:
to assist participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a manager
to develop basic management skills

Duration
Minimum of 160 guided learning hours, excluding assessment, to be completed normally within one year, or up to a maximum of 3 years

Structure
An induction lasting 3 hours, plus
Minimum 7 hours’ tutorial guidance for personal development and assessments for the full award (pro rata for single modules), plus

Ten 15-hour modules:

C3 Understanding Organisations
C4 Managing Change
C5 Managing Activities
C6 Managing Resources
C7 Developing People
C8 Managing People
C9 Communication
C10 Managing Information
