Melanie Lisney formed Optimal in 2003 to provide bespoke, non-technical training for anyone wanting to get the best from themselves and/or their workforce.  The human challenge of our relentless change culture provides the ideal backdrop for Leaders and Team Members to top-up their resilience skills, whilst working towards a more empowering environment.

As a Behavioural Skills specialist, Melanie uses a variety of engaging activities to help learners identify their current contribution to the workplace and explore how that could be modified or enhanced to get even better outcomes.  The dangers of being too busy to consider "inward-investment" are all too common to see - with the frequent result of people feeling overwhelmed and under-resourced.  Workshops encourage a higher degree of self awareness and personal responsibility – offering tools and techniques to face those inevitable challenges with positivity and confidence. 

Personal Development, Team Building and Leadership Development are the most popular applications for Melanie's workshops, which are always delivered with enthusiasm, conviction and sensitivity.

A happy collaborator, Melanie regularly works on design and delivery in association with other training providers as well as in-house L&D professionals.

Melanie has significant personal experience of people management and since establishing Optimal, has worked with a wide variety of clients including the UN, NHS, Allen & Overy, UCAS, Roche, Lloyds TSB, HMRC, LaSer UK, NFU.
