    The Hidden Barrier to Efficiency... and the Neglected Competency that addresses it!

    Ponder these questions (about yourself and/or your employees):

    • How much do you (they) use a computer?
    • What's your (their) salary / earning potential - per minute?
    • How fast do you (they) type? Including time taken to correct work?
    • Is your (their) conscious attention split between the quality of the content they type, and the 'mechanics' of monitoring fingers, checking spelling, seeking keys...?
    • For how many hours of the working week would you (they) benefit from being able typing fast, fluidly, accurately and without looking?

    Touch Typing is often perceived to be something you "either have or don't have".
    The same goes for extensive use of Keyboard Shortcuts. "Ok if you're that sort of person..."
     
    ...leaving (hundreds of?) thousands of heavy computer users (and their employers) simply tolerating poor proficiency in this area, as if it's 'just the way of the world'.
