Hi all

For those of you that follow other social media you will know (and for those that don't this will be new), there has been some dialogue regarding 'accreditation' of trainers that identifies and proves competence.

Many of you know that a highly skilled group of expert members of TrainerBase developed a 'Standard' between 2006 and 2008.

The Standard and the CLP accreditation have been on the back burner for a while but the recent discussions confirm to me and others that TrainerBase should look at ways of placing the accreditation in the market.

I have yet to bottom out how we might do this but my thinking is that CLP accreditation will become part of the package of member benefits.

There will of course be a limit to the amount of time I will be able to attribute to member accreditation and how 'sign up' will be managed has yet to be determined.

Over the past 12 or so months a few of us have been reviewing the Standard for any omissions or refinements. There have been just a few. For those of you that reviewed the Standard in the past; may I suggest that you download the latest version from

I will keep everyone updated on how I decided to proceed with this.
